How this publication works

The Hospitality Newsletter is an daily brief produced by The Hospitality Newsletter Team. Each morning we review a curated list of hospitality trade publications and the wider web, assess what has been reported, weigh every story for industry impact, and publish the strongest ten to twelve.

What we publish

Short summaries of reporting published elsewhere, each one crediting and linking to the original publisher. We do not reproduce articles in full. If you want the complete story, we send you to the people who reported it.

How stories are chosen

Stories are ranked on industry impact, how actionable they are for hotel professionals, timeliness, and whether they add something new. Source credibility acts as a tie-breaker: where two publications cover the same development, we keep the more established one. We exclude press releases, vendor marketing, tourism board promotions and consultancy client alerts — material published to sell something rather than to report.

Independence

No one pays to appear in the daily brief, and coverage is not for sale. Should we introduce sponsorship or advertising, it will be labelled clearly and kept separate from editorial selection.

Limitations we accept

A summary is not the reporting it draws on, and detail is lost in compression — particularly where an article sits behind a paywall. We do not treat our summaries as a substitute for the original, which is why every one links back to it. Where we get something wrong, we fix it. See our corrections policy.
